Student Success Statement  "Only those live who do good" - Count Leo Tolstoy  This statement is very right. I agree with this statement because how can you live your life comfortable knowing you're doing wrong everyday. There are many people who choose to do the wrong thing just cause everyone's doing it. 

Optometrist  Duties and Responsibilities: An Optometrist's main job is to examine the eyes for any type of disorder or disease. They also manage and treat anyone's eye disease or disorder. They also prescribe glasses or contact lenses if need to. They may also perform surgery on a patient if it's very needed.  Education Requirements: To become an Optometrist you MUST educate yourself first. You're required to have an O.D. degree. Although first you need to have taken these following courses in high school: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Math. After that now you can enter an O.D. program that will need at least 4 years to complete. Then finally you must take a 1-year residency program to fully get trained in the area which you wish to specialize.  Salary:  $50.03 Hourly  $106,140 Yearly  Reflection: Yes i would like to be one. 

Student Success Statement  "What's right isn't always popular. What's popular isn't always right." - Albert Einstein This statement is true and i agree with it. There are many teens, adults, and even kids who do the wrong just cause they see others doing it. For example like drugs or drinking, some people just do it to fit in or  cause everybody's doing it. 

Breast Cancer Breast Cancer is the most common cancer now in days which affects male and females. What it is basically when cells in a breast tissue change or keep reproducing. They then cluster together and create a cancerous tumor. Some risk factors are age, family history, hormones, weight race, and many more. There aren't really any symptoms to now you have breast cancer, sometimes it's just to watch out for any lumps which sometimes are never painful that is why it's important to get them checked out once in a while. The reason i chose this topic is because there are many women who suffer from this and its very common now in days. 

Student Success Statement  "I hated poverty. Poverty is more of a choice than anything else, and i can change that(poverty). It depends upon how hard i work, and i decided that i would change it." - Dr. Ben Carson I don't agree with this statement. There are many many people who go through poverty and it's not a choice for them. Some families cannot even afford to eat no matter how hard or how much they work. Others cannot even afford an education which is why poverty increases and increases. I believe that the government should do something to officially end poverty. 

Medical Marijuana  According to CNN eleven year old Ashley Surin was prohibited to bring her prescribed medication to school Schaumburg Illinois. Ashley was diagnosed with luekemia when she was just a toddler. So the doctors gave her many rounds of chemotherapy and spinal injections to fight her cancer. Because of this she started having many seizures at the age of 2. The doctors tried many medications to help with her seizures but instead gave her many other worse symptoms. Till one day another doctor suggested to try cannabis, and it turned out to be very beneficial. The judge let her take it to school, but the school did not allow it to happen. I think that is very wrong because Ashley has many health issues. 

Student Success Statement "Even if everyone is doing it, WRONG is NEVER RIGHT." -Russell M. Nelson  I think that this statement is very true. There are many people who choose to do the wrong thing, therefore we shouldn't follow nobody's actions even if millions are doing it . WRONG stays being WRONG no matter what. 

Speech Therapist  Duties and Responsibilities: A Speech Therapist's duty is to teach, help and treat kids with disorders who aren't able to speak properly.  Education Requirements: To become a Speech Therapist you must earn a Bachelor's Degree in communication, sciences, and disorders. You must also earn a license which many states require to have in order to fully work as a Speech Therapist.  Salary: They earn $35 an hour and around $75,000 per year.  Reflection: I would love to be one, I desire this to be my future career. 

Occupational Therapist Duties and Responsibilities: An Occupational Therapist's main job is to help the injured, ill and/or disabled patients. They help them complete everyday activities Education Requirements:  You are required to have at least a Master's degree in any medical field having to do with a therapist. Also required to take an exam, and pass it with a successful score. They must also take education classes to maintain the certificate.  Salary: $83,430 Yearly  Reflection: I would like to be one, in fact thats what i wanna study for my career . 

Student Success Statement  "I wasn't trying to leave a legacy. i was trying to do what was right."- Dean Smith After watching the videos of Dean i realized that what he was doing in his career/life was the correct and smart thing to do. I think that is why he became more successful than he ever planned or wanted to ever. Good things come from good intentions. 

Nursing Home Administrator Duties and Responsibilities: A Nursing Home Administrator has a lot of duties to fulfill. They supervise their staff, making sure they are treating the patients right and with care, they are in charge of paperwork, and just manage the nursing home making sure everything is safe for their patients.  Education Requirements: A Nursing Home Administrator is required to have at least a Bachelor's degree in healthcare. They also require to enroll in a program to know what is right or wrong in their career, of course  you require to have passed it and get the license.  Salary: They can earn up to $97,219-$121,661 per year Reflection: Would you like to be one? why? why not?  I would like to be one because i enjoy helping others especially if they are in need, although one thing i wouldn't enjoy about this career is all the stress that comes with it.  

Student Success Statement  Karma will take care of itself "It's not about how to achieve your dreams. It's about how to lead your life. If you lead your life the RIGHT WAY, the karma(good results, destiny, fortune, good luck)  will take care of itself. The dreams will come to you." I feel like what this statement means is to just focus on living your life doing all the right and responsible things, good things will come your way. Because doing the wrong obviously should not give you blessings.  

My Winter Break My winter break was pretty boring but at the same time a bit fun. I say that because i went to a lot of places, i spent time with my family, and hung out with my friends. To start off my winter vacation i spent a whole day at Disneyland with my mom. We got on many rides, but we had to leave early cause i was sick. That was the only thing out of my break i was sick for like a week. then after that me and my mom went Christmas shopping to the mall and also shopping for me. Then Christmas day came all my family came over to my house and spent Christmas there. After Christmas my cousin from mexico came to visit for the holidays, it was nice seeing her cause i have not seen her in like 5 years. After that i also reunited with an old friend from elementary, i really missed her, her and me are really close but never really see each other cause she lives far. Then i spent the rest of my days watching movies on netflix, or staying up with my friends on facetime.
